Add 3D Data to ArcGIS Pro 3.2 and earlier via Image Dedicated

Before you start

You will require an Image Dedicated link to your data eg

https://di-map.img.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/location-name/SceneServer

And a username and password.

  1. Login to ArcGIS Online

    Login to your organisation’s ArcGIS Online portal, and navigate to the Content tab.

  1. Adding data

    1. Click the New item button

    2. Select the URL option.

    3. Enter the Image Dedicated URL that was provided with at the time of delivery. ArcGIS online will automatically determine this URL to be an ArcGIS Server web service. It is important to turn on Store credentials with service item. Click Next

    4. You will then be prompted to enter your login details. Enter these into the boxes provided and click OK

    5. You will then be prompted to enter details for the data that you are uploading. Fill details out as necessary and click Save.

      Your data has now been added to ArcGIS Online. You can now add extra details such as a thumbnail, and description as well as share the content with others within your organisation. Note the storage details showing the data taking up only 1kb of space on your ArcGIS online account.

  1. Adding ArcGIS Online Data to ArcGIS Pro

    1. Create or open an ArcGIS scene and navigate to the catalog pane. Select Portal

    2. Scroll down until you find the dataset that you uploaded. Right click it and select Add To Current Map

    3. The data will be added to the map without requiring any username or password.
