# MetroMap Image Dedicated for ArcGIS Users

#### What is MetroMap Image Dedicated?

MetroMap Image Dedicated is an ESRI optimised Web Mapping Service offered as an add-on for MetroMap Enterprise subscriptions. It provides seamless, high-performance access to Metromap’s premium aerial imagery directly within the ArcGIS platfrom.

Why Choose MetroMap Image Dedicated?

Adding this service to your Enterprise subscription enables:

- Smooth integration with ArcGIS products like ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, Web App Builder, Field Maps and Geocortex/VertiGIS Studio.
- Improved performance and usability, ensuring a consistent user experience across all supported applications.
- Direct access to MetroMap’s high-resolution imagery, without the need to manually manage imagery files or services.

You will require a MetroMap Enterprise license to access MetroMap APIs

#### **How does MetroMap Image Dedicated differ from our WMS/WMTS options?**

Key features and benefits of this service in addition to our standard API’s - WMS and WMTS are as follows:

- Time enabled support
  - Better management of historic layers
  - AOI geofence so you only see the relevant content for your area
  - Time Slider or Date Selector functionality
  - Support of time widget functionality in other ESRI apps
- Geofenced AOI’s for specific areas
- Zero ESRI credit usage on customer side
- ESRI Enterprise authentication & strong cyber security protocols
- Publishing in downstream apps (such as Web App Builder)
- Full projection support in ESRI applications
- Removal of printing issues
- Full VertiGIS Studio support (aka Geocortex)

#### **What types of services can MetroMap Image Dedicated delivery?**

MetroMap offers three main types of service with MetroMap Image Dedicated

1. Australia Latest - National coverage, great as a basemap in applications
2. Time Enabled - National coverage with historic archive data back to 2020, great for enabling a Time Slider or Date Selector Tool
3. Geofenced - Local AOI with historic archive data back to 2020, great as a basemap or with time enabled functionality
